First Baptist Church Library
The library/resource center is a ministry of First Baptist Church, Wylie. Our ministry is to promote the spiritual, emotional and intellectual development of individuals, family and church groups. The library contains Bible study helps, doctrinal studies, Christian living and devotional books, books and items on establishing and maintaining a Christian home, Christian witness and evangelism tools, books for youth, children and preschool, biographies and fiction.
The library is a promoter and provider of Christian materials. The library is a warm, friendly place that invites people in. Those who assist you in the library know the value of reading, viewing and listening to Christian material, both fiction and non-fiction. Books and other library materials instruct, inspire, develop character, give knowledge, exercise our minds, and provide food for our spirits. It is funded through the church budget, donations, gifts and memorials.
The library has over 6,600 items values in excess of $69,000.00
Anyone can use the library by simply providing the following information: name, age group, address, and phone number. Books can be checked out for two weeks and DVDs for one week.
The library observe the following hours:
Sunday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon -
5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
Wednesday 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Thursday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon

We are open on Sunday morning from 8:00 until 12:00 noon and from 5:00 to 5:30 when there are other activities in the building. We are open on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 and on Thursday morning from 9:00 until 12:00 noon. Please come “check us out” soon.
