Prayer Ministries

First Baptist Wylie believes in the power of prayer. Our intercessory prayer ministries are an important part of our church. Currently, we have 2 types of intercessory prayer ministries:

ROUND THE CLOCK Intercessory Prayer
Our prayer room is staffed around the clock by members of our church whom God has called specifically to be an intercessor. Intercessors are committed to at least one hour of prayer time in the prayer room each week. All requests submitted to this ministry are prayed over by each intercessor. And, with permission, an intercessor may also write encouraging notes to those who are prayed for.

Prayer requests can be submitted in 1 of 2 ways:

• Manually, by filling out a prayer request card located in the pews in the sanctuary or at greeter stations throughout the church. They can be placed in the offering plates during service or turned in to the church office.
• Online, by filling out the form to the right and clicking submit.

WORSHIP SERVICE Intercessory Prayer
Intercessors pray for those who are participating in any worship service going on at our church. As well, on Sunday mornings, Sunday School is also going on while worship service is in progress in the sanctuary. Hence, intercessors pray for those participating in Sunday School as well. These intercessors meet on a scheduled basis in the pastors front office and pray for the duration of each service.
