Frequently Asked Questions:
Where is Camp Noah Preschool Ministry?
The preschool area is located on the east side of the main campus. Please ask one of the greeters, located at each entrance, to help you find the Camp Noah Guest Center.
How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the Nursery.
Is childcare available at the 8:00 a.m. service?
No. Preschool and Nursery programs are available at the 8:55am, 10:15am and 11:35am sessions.. Preschoolers are welcome to enjoy all sessions planned just for them.
Will my child have the same teacher each week?
Yes. Each week your child will have sets of teachers, two or three depending on hom many sessions parents attend. Your child's teachers provide the important consistency your preschooler requires.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or ill, you will be called on your cell phone or a text message sent to your cell phone that you are needed in the preschool area. You will be asked to set your phone on vibrate during worship time.
Is there a private area available for nursing mothers?
Yes. We have designated a special room just for nursing moms. You will find a quiet area designed specifically for nursing mothers. We have rocking chairs, burp cloths and other items you may need. Please ask one of the teachers or nursery staff for details or directions. The worship service is available on a small screen so mommies don't miss out.
How does Camp Noah keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church?
Camp Noah sends out updates and info as needed by our parents. Teachers make a point to connect with families when picking up and dropping off their preschoolers!. We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches that child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greeting families to teaching and leading kids in worship.
How can I volunteer in Camp Noah?
There are many positions available where you can serve. These include greeting families, teaching, co-teaching, being a part of one of our construction teams and many more. All volunteers must be members of Fist Baptist Wylie for six months and complete a background screening.
